Our client, a leading organization in the title insurance and commercial real estate services space, is seeking aSenior National Commercial Title Underwriting Counsel to join its team. Thisroleoffers the opportunity to work on complex commercial real estate transactions, providing underwriting guidance, risk assessment, and strategic support to internal stakeholders and clients across the country. This position is ideal for aseasoned professionalwho thrives in a collaborative environment and brings strong analytical capabilities, sound judgment, and a solutions-oriented mindset. The successful candidate will play akey role in evaluating risk, guiding transaction structure, and ensuring compliance with title underwriting standardsand applicable regulations.
Candidate Profile: JDfrom an ABA-accredited law school required.5+ yearsof substantive experience innational title insuranceunderwritingorcomparable commercial real estateexperience in a law firm setting. General understanding of theprocess of title underwriting real estate transactions for the issuance of title insurance policies. Ability tointerpret and applytitle insurance underwriting standards and guidelines within delegated authority limits Solid understanding of fundamental concepts, practices and procedures ofcommercial real estate transactions, title insurance, and settlement processes. Must be familiar withapplicable commercial real estate law, includingfederalandstate regulations. Strongrelationship-building skills with internal stakeholders and externally, with clients and others. Exceptionalorganizational skills, with the ability tomanage significant transaction volume, ability to multi-task, prioritize, and follow up in a timely manner. Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills. Effective communicator with strong negotiation skills, who can deliver guidance with clarity, professionalism, tact, and diplomacy. Stronganalyticalskills, detail oriented, with the ability toassess risk and provide practical solutions. Collaborative mindset with ability toact decisively when needed. Creative, solution-oriented approach toresolving complex, multi-state, multi-property title challenges.
What You’ll Do: Provide title underwriting support, counsel, and authorization to companypersonnel, agents, and customers, related to theissuance of real estate title insurance commitments and policies. Apply underwriting standardsto assess risk and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Provide guidance tointernal teams on commercial real estate settlement services and transaction structure. Develop and communicate underwriting guidelines and best practices in alignment with organizational standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support efficient and successful transaction execution. Other duties as assigned.

Salary range: $200,000 – $350,000+This hiring range is a reasonable estimate of the base pay range for this position at the time of posting. Pay is based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements, qualifications, and geographic location.
