Technical Designer, Outerwear Amerex Group LLC is a leading manufacturer of outerwear and swimwear, with design and manufacturing capabilities across a variety of fabrics and materials, including fur, faux fur, wool, shearling, nylons, and other synthetic materials. With Ladies, Men’s, and Kids’ divisions, Amerex continues to grow through strategic acquisitions, key licenses, and successful brand launches. We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Technical Designer specializing in Outerwear to join our team. This role will support the technical development, fit, quality, and sample approval process from development through production.
Key Responsibilities: Issue development specifications and create sample materials using the PLM system. Evaluate the fit and quality of samples and provide clear, actionable feedback to manufacturing. Collaborate with technical designers to review and approve fit. Apply a strong understanding of fit, style, and brand identity throughout the development process. Follow up with factories on sample approvals and ensure timely progression through development. Manage fit samples and technical packages for customers.
Qualifications: Must have experience in technical design of Outerwear apparel. Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Profound understanding of garment fitting principles. Proficiency in PLM systems, with a proven track record of effective utilization.
