About the role
- Draft, revise, and finalize legal documents, pleadings, and discovery materials
- Manage attorney calendars, scheduling, travel, and client communications
- Organize and maintain electronic and physical client files
- Handle state and federal e-filing and court submissions
- Track deadlines and manage case dockets within the case management system
- Coordinate billing processes and assist with resolving discrepancies
- Prepare exhibits and assist with trial preparation
- Manage and organize discovery documentation
- Enter attorney time and assist with new matter intake
- Support business development efforts through presentations and materials
- Assist with file closing and records management
- Provide additional administrative support as needed
- 35 years of legal secretary or legal assistant experience in a law firm
- Prior experience supporting litigation attorneys
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, including formatting and track changes
- Experience with document management systems (iManage preferred)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Professional and polished demeanor when interacting with clients and external parties
- Ability to multitask, stay organized, and thrive in a team environment
