We are looking for an Accounting Supervisor to work for our client. The ideal candidate aligns with the responsibilities and qualifications outlined below. This is a solid next-step opportunity for an accounting professional looking to move into a leadership capacity, balancing hands-on close work with oversight of a growing team, in a hybrid role based in Cleveland, OH.
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee day-to-day accounting functions, including AP, AR, and general ledger activity
  • Review journal entries, reconciliations, and close deliverables prepared by the accounting team
  • Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback to accounting staff
  • Support the timely and accurate preparation of monthly financial statements
  • Assist with audit preparation, pulling together documentation and supporting schedules
  • Help maintain and strengthen internal controls across daily accounting operations
  • Identify and recommend improvements to existing accounting workflows
  • Act as a go-to resource for cross-departmental accounting questions
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 4+ years of accounting experience, with some prior lead or supervisory exposure
  • Solid working knowledge of GAAP and month-end close processes
  • Comfortable with accounting/ERP systems and strong Excel skills
  • Strong communication and organizational abilities
  • Able to juggle competing priorities in a hybrid work setting
