Role Description:
This full-time, on-site Registered Dental Hygienist role is based in Owensboro, KY. The hygienist will perform comprehensive dental prophylaxis, periodontal assessments, and non-surgical periodontal therapy, while maintaining accurate clinical documentation. Daily responsibilities include reviewing medical histories, taking and interpreting dental radiographs, delivering patient education on oral hygiene and preventive care, and assisting in the development of individualized treatment plans. The role also involves collaborating with the dentist and dental team to ensure a high standard of infection control, patient safety, and chairside efficiency, as well as supporting a positive, compassionate patient experience.
Qualifications:
Strong clinical skills in dentistry and hygiene, including routine dental care and preventive services. Proficiency in dental prophylaxis techniques and periodontal disease assessment and management. Current Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license in the state of Kentucky, in good standing. Knowledge of infection control protocols, OSHA regulations, and HIPAA compliance. Ability to communicate clearly with patients about oral health, treatment options, and home care practices. Comfort with dental software for charting, scheduling, and radiograph management. Strong attention to detail, reliability, and ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. CPR certification and prior experience in a general dentistry practice are preferred.
