About the role
Finance ProfessionalWells Fargo is seeking a motivated and personable finance professional to join our national equipment finance team responsible for originating new, and maintaining existing, relationships with commercial vehicle dealers and truck lessors. This role will focus primarily on inventory finance (floorplan) opportunities and relationships.In this role, you will:Develop and deliver financial solutions to prospective and existing clients across Commercial Banking or Corporate & Investment Banking, by assembling and leading execution teams and provide guidance and oversight to pitch, structure, negotiate, and execute highly customized transactions to clientsDevelop or influence objectives, strategy, resources, and long-term goals for a portfolio of clients that utilize specialty products and servicesPotentially be assigned a non-contractual territory and responsible for influencing partners to generate and direct deal opportunities to the businessLead aspects of client interaction; maintain visibility on the clients' objectives and business pipeline to identify opportunities early, provide advice and ideas, and recommend tailored financing solutions to address specific clients' needsProactively identify ancillary solutions that meet the client's needs and coordinate interaction with other product partners within the bank (Investment Banking, Wealth Investment Management, Treasury Management, etc.)Lead the execution of deals by assigning responsibilities, setting deadlines and objectives, and providing guidance; retain oversight of complex aspects such as diligence or documentation, and provide expertise and training to more junior team membersUnderstand clients' businesses, strategic objectives, operational priorities, and financial positions within the context of individual deals and client relationshipsAct as an advisor to senior leadership to develop or influence planning for highly complex business needs related to a given product or specialty's business objectivesRepresent the bank and grow the franchise by participating in industry conferences and meetingsServe as a mentor for less experienced individualsRequired Qualifications:7+ years of secured or specialized lending sales experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, educationDesired Qualifications:Commercial lending, asset-based lending, inventory finance or equipment finance experienceExperience originating and structuring equipment finance programs or inventory (floorplan) lending solutions for commercial clientsAbility to build and manage relationships with dealers, lessors, and key internal partnersStrong understanding of client financials, business models, and credit risk considerationsDemonstrated ability to lead deal execution, including structuring, negotiation, and closing transactionsEffective communication and influencing skills to collaborate across teams and support business development effortsJob Expectations:The specific U.S. location is flexible by candidate, but will require co-location with an existing Wells Fargo Commercial Banking or Equipment Finance teamAbility to travel up to 25% of the timeThis position offers a hybrid work scheduleCurrent requirements are 4 days in-office.Willingness to work on-site at stated location on the job openingThis position is not eligible for Visa sponsorshipSpecific compliance policies may apply regarding outside activities or personal investing; affected employees will be expected to provide information to the Wells Fargo Personal Account Dealing Team and abide by applicable policy requirements if hired.
