About the role
- Manage the end-to-end delivery of modular data center units, including electrical, mechanical, and structural modules, from factory build through site installation
- Serve as the primary point of contact between module manufacturers, EPC partners, and client's internal engineering and construction teams
- Ensure required submittal reviews, processing and approvals, and submittal logs are set-up and maintained.
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules covering fabrication, quality inspection, transportation, and on-site integration milestones
- Coordinate factory acceptance testing (FAT) and quality assurance processes prior to module shipment
- Manage coordination of on-site rigging, placement, and integration of modules with general contractors and site superintendents
- Coordinate and oversee logistics planning and delivery sequencing for oversized/heavy-haul module transport.
- Track budgets, change orders, and vendor invoicing related to module fabrication and delivery
- Identify and mitigate risks related to fabrication delays, supply chain disruptions, transportation constraints, or site readiness
- Ensure all modules meet Cipher Digital's technical specifications, safety standards, and applicable codes
- Partner with procurement to manage vendor relationships and hold manufacturing partners accountable to contractual commitments
- Provide regular progress reporting to internal stakeholders and leadership on module status, schedule adherence, and budget performance
- Support commissioning teams during module energization and integration into the broader data center build
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or a related field (or equivalent experience)5+ years of experience in project management within modular construction, prefabrication, data center construction, or related industrial/infrastructure sectors
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and structural systems as they relate to modular/prefabricated builds and ability to coordinate multiple disciplines (electrical, controls, security, fire systems, etc) into a cohesive code compliant design.
- Proven ability to manage multiple vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders simultaneously
- Independent thinker that can take initiative and thrive in an start up environment where many details and/or processes might be ambiguous.
- Makes authoritative decisions and recommendations having important impact on activities of the company.
- Demonstrates a high degree of creativity, foresight, and mature judgment in anticipating and solving unprecedented complexities.
- Determines program objectives and requirements, organizing programs and projects and assists in developing standards and guidelines for diverse activities.
- Proficiency with project management and scheduling tools (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project, Procore)
- Strong budgeting, forecasting, and change-order management skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Willingness to travel to fabrication facilities and job sites as neededPMP certification a plus
