Role Description:
The Front Desk Associate is a full-time, on-site role based in Tampa, FL, responsible for being the first point of contact for patients and visitors. Daily responsibilities include greeting patients, checking them in and out, managing appointments, and maintaining an organized reception area. The role involves answering phone calls, responding to inquiries, confirming appointments, and accurately entering patient information into practice management systems. The Front Desk Associate will handle insurance and billing-related questions as directed, support the clinical team with scheduling needs, and ensure a smooth flow of patients throughout the day. This position requires consistent professionalism, reliability, and a strong focus on creating a positive patient experience.
Qualifications:
Strong customer service skills with a focus on patient experience and professionalism. Effective communication skills, including clear verbal and written interactions with patients and team members. Phone etiquette and receptionist duties proficiency, including answering calls, managing messages, and handling patient check-in/check-out. Computer literacy, including familiarity with basic office software and the ability to learn dental or medical practice management systems. Attention to detail and organizational skills for scheduling, record-keeping, and managing front desk tasks. Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented clinical environment and maintain confidentiality of patient information. Prior experience in a dental, orthodontic, or medical office front desk role is preferred but not required. High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or coursework in healthcare administration or office management is a plus. Spanish is a plus Must be able to collect payments from patients and run reports Must be able to verify insurance and send claims and follow up on claims.
