About the role
- Welcome customers and help connect them with a sales team member
- Provide general assistance to customers throughout their shopping experience
- Support commissioned salespeople with customer service and administrative duties
- Answer incoming telephone calls and direct inquiries appropriately
- Enter sales, customer information, and product orders accurately
- Assist customers and salespeople with financing applications and paperwork
- Follow up with customers regarding purchases, orders, financing, and other needs
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and attractive showroom
- Assist with product pricing, tagging, merchandising, and inventory-related tasks
- Learn and use the company's point-of-sale and other technology systems
- Work cooperatively with the sales and management teams
- Perform other reasonable store-support duties as needed
- Previous furniture or retail experience is not required
- Friendly, professional, and comfortable interacting with customers
- Dependable and able to work effectively as part of a team
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks
- Comfortable using computers and learning new technology
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Willing to take initiative and help where needed
- Able to maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude
