Remote Splunk Technical Project Manager

We are seeking a Technical Project Manager with deep Splunk expertise to lead and deliver enterprise-scale Splunk and observability initiatives. This role requires a strong blend of project management discipline and hands-on technical knowledge to successfully drive complex Splunk deployments, enhancements, and migrations.The ideal candidate understands the Splunk ecosystem end-to-end and can effectively manage cross-functional teams while ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned to business objectives.Key ResponsibilitiesProject LeadershipLead end-to-end delivery of Splunk-related projects, including implementations, upgrades, migrations, and optimization initiativesDefine project scope, timelines, milestones, and deliverablesManage project plans, track progress, and ensure adherence to schedulesIdentify risks, dependencies, and blockers, and proactively drive resolutionProvide regular status reporting to stakeholders and leadershipSplunk Technical OversightServe as the technical liaison for Splunk architecture, data onboarding, and platform enhancementsCollaborate with engineers to design and implement scalable Splunk solutions (indexers, search heads, forwarders)Oversee data ingestion pipelines, parsing, and normalization strategiesEnsure best practices are followed for performance, scalability, and securityValidate technical deliverables and ensure alignment with requirementsStakeholder & Team CoordinationCoordinate across engineering, infrastructure, security, and business teamsTranslate business requirements into actionable technical plansFacilitate meetings, workshops, and technical discussionsManage vendor relationships and external partners as neededGovernance & ProcessEstablish and enforce project governance, standards, and documentationEnsure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirementsSupport Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methodologies as appropriateRequired Qualifications5+ years of experience in technical project managementStrong hands-on knowledge of Splunk Enterprise and/or Splunk Cloud (REQUIRED)Deep understanding of:Splunk architecture (indexers, search heads, forwarders)Data onboarding, parsing (props/transforms), and SPLObservability, logging, and/or SIEM use casesProven experience managing complex, enterprise-level Splunk projectsStrong ability to manage multiple workstreams and priorities simultaneouslyExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsPreferred QualificationsSplunk certifications (e.g., Splunk Core Certified Power User, Admin, or Architect)Experience with tools like Cribl, Kafka, or other data pipeline technologiesFamiliarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)Experience in regulated industries (finance, healthcare, government)PMP, Scrum Master, or similar project management certificationWhat Success Looks LikeProjects are delivered on time, within scope, and with high qualitySplunk environments are scalable, efficient, and aligned with business needsStakeholders are informed, aligned, and confident in delivery progressRisks are identified early and managed effectively
