About the role

Sterile Reprocessing Technician The Sterile Reprocessing Technician is responsible for ensuring the effective decontamination, disinfection, and sterilization of medical instruments and equipment to meet safety and quality standards.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Prepare instrumentation for the decontamination process by disassembly and pre-processing.
  • Operate all disinfection and sterilization equipment according to manufacturers' specialties
  • Adheres to infection control protocols, including maintenance of instruments processing logs
  • Assembles processed instruments
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned
  • Maintains familiarity with and abides by the Center's policies and procedures
  • Supports and participates in the Centers quality improvement program.
  • Education, Experience, Licenses, and Certifications:
  • At least one year of experience in Sterile Processing
  • Graduate of Accredited Program in Sterile Processing or Approved on the Job Training with CBSPD or IAHCSMM Certification required
