Professional Land Surveyor Project ManagerCES Group Engineers, LLP, an award-winning multi-discipline firm serving the Carolinas and beyond, is seeking a Professional Land Surveyor to serve as a Project Manager to join our growing team in Charlotte, NC. While this opportunity currently exists in our Charlotte, NC location, experienced applicants across the Carolinas may apply as well.
Responsibilities: Provide project management and oversee scheduling, scope, and budgets for quality and timely deliverables. Provide legal certification with review, stamp, and certify final survey plans, maps, and documents with assurance of compliance with state and county regulations. Must be able to perform survey calculations and direct the daily activities of field survey crews, while managing resources and budgets for multiple concurrent projects, including, but not limited to, boundary, ALTA, topographic, design and construction surveying assignments Must provide team leadership and be capable of organizing, prioritizing tasks, and coordinating field and office surveying practices Quality control review of field survey data, and preparation of survey documentation and drawings Excellent communication skills and interact with clients and occasionally travel to client or project sites Coordinate and collaborate with others to get the work done This position primarily operates in a professional office environment, utilizing standard office equipment
Qualifications: Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Surveying or Civil Engineering Technology, or a related field is preferred, but not required Licensed Professional Land Surveying License (PLS) in North Carolina and/or South Carolina Five (5) years or more of land surveying experience is required, including demonstrated proficiency with field surveying techniques and survey office practices Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or Carlson Survey software is required. Experience with Trimble Business Center and Micro Station is a plus Good interpersonal skills and well-developed oral and written communication skills Ability to effectively interface with co-workers, management, and clients
