About the role
Position Summary:
The IT Coordinator is responsible for maintaining and supporting the organization’s technology infrastructure to ensure efficient and secure operations across a large-scale residential property management environment. This role manages hardware, software, networks, and system performance while leading key technology initiatives, including system upgrades and conversions. The IT Coordinator will play a critical role in ensuring reliability, security, and user support for all technology-related functions. Essential Functions and
Responsibilities:
Serve as Project Lead for the conversion from an in-house system to a more robust, enterprise-level software platform. Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, operating systems, applications, and related equipment. Manage and monitor network servers, systems, and technology tools to ensure optimal performance. Set up and maintain user accounts, permissions, and workstations. Monitor system performance and proactively address issues to ensure continuous uptime. Troubleshoot system errors, outages, and technical issues, providing timely resolution. Implement and maintain security measures, including access controls, firewalls, and data backup/recovery systems. Perform regular system upgrades, patches, and updates to ensure systems remain current and secure. Maintain documentation of systems, configurations, and procedures. Train and support staff on new technologies, systems, and best practices. Collaborate with internal departments to identify technology needs and recommend solutions. Provide technical support and guidance to users with varying levels of technical expertise. Participate in special projects and technology initiatives as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator, or similar role Strong knowledge of network systems (LAN/WAN), servers, and database management Experience with system security, including intrusion detection, access controls, and data backup/recovery Familiarity with multiple operating systems and platforms (Windows, etc.)Experience with patch management and system upgrades Experience with Yardi preferred Professional certifications such as Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) or similar are a plus Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a resourceful mindset Excellent organizational and time-management abilities Strong communication skills with the ability to support non-technical users Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment Please share your resume via email to the address below: csmith@rochdalevillage.com cary.smith@ellimanpm.com
