About the role
Job Description: 2nd shift 3:30pm to midnight 40 hours fulltime
Key Responsibilities:
Machine Operation: Set up, load, and safely monitor automated CNC wire-forming and foaming machines according to predefined instructions. Material Feeding: Properly feed raw wiring components or manage chemical/foam injection reservoirs to ensure smooth, uninterrupted manufacturing cycles. Quality Inspection: Use basic measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, or gauges) to perform first-piece and routine inspections on finished components to ensure exact adherence to tolerances. Blueprint Literacy: Read and interpret basic technical schematics, job travelers, and operational work instructions. [1, 2]Basic Troubleshooting: Monitor machine performance, spot deviations in wire tracking or foam density, and assist maintenance or mid-level operators with minor setup corrections. Safety & Maintenance: Keep the workspace and tools clean. Maintain strict adherence to all workplace safety rules, including wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and following Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) protocols.
Education:
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. (Technical school training or a basic manufacturing certification is a major plus).Mechanical Aptitude: Comfortable working around heavy, fast-moving automated industrial equipment. Basic Math & Tech Skills: Ability to compute basic shop mathematics and navigate digital machine interface screens. Physical Capabilities: Must be able to stand for extended periods, perform repetitive manual tasks, and lift materials up to 50 lbs safely. Dependability: A strong commitment to precise attendance, punctuation, and team communication.
