Operate heavy equipment for site clearing, excavation, grading, utility installation, and paving preparationSafely operate equipment including: ExcavatorsBulldozers (Dozers) Wheel LoadersSkid Steers (as needed) Motor Rollers/CompactorsStreet SweepersArticulated or Standard Dump TrucksOther construction equipment as assignedPerform rough grading and fine grading to meet project specifications for paving and site developmentExcavate trenches and install underground utilities, including storm drainage, sanitary sewer, and water linesLoad, move, and stockpile materials efficientlyRead and interpret grade stakes, construction plans, and project specificationsWork around existing underground utilities while following safe excavation practicesPerform daily pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections and report maintenance needs promptlyMaintain equipment cleanliness and perform routine preventive maintenanceWork safely around other equipment, laborers, and traffic within active construction sitesAssist ground crews when equipment operation is not requiredFollow all OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and environmental requirementsComplete work efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality and accuracyHigh school diploma or equivalent preferredMinimum of 3 years of heavy equipment operating experience in civil construction, site development, or roadway construction preferredExperience with site clearing, underground utility installation, grading, and paving preparationAbility to operate multiple types of heavy equipment safely and efficientlyValid driver's license required; CDL preferred but not requiredKnowledge of construction plans, grades, elevations, and utility layoutsAbility to work overtime and occasional weekends as project schedules require
