About the role

ED Coordinator We are seeking a fast-paced ED Coordinator to serve as the operational hub of our Emergency Department. This role combines medical communications, critical transfer logistics, and patient monitoring. You will act as the vital link between providers, nurses, EMS, and patient families in a high-energy environment.
Key Responsibilities: Provide clerical support to the unit. Coordinating transfers to other hospitals. Arranging transportation for patients via EMS.Entering and tracking consults to other providers. Coordinating records for sending and receiving patients. Answering the CMED radio and Telecom for all inbound ambulance patients. Completing reporting forms. Coordinating patient care with interpreter services. Retrieving records from other hospitals for current ED patients. Phoning all other facilities looking for open beds to transfer patients to for the providers. Secretarial support for the providers. Customer service with all the patients families that call in for information. Conveying with the charge RN any inbound patient to be placed. Initiating timing for all measured quality initiatives such as Sepsis Alerts, Stemi Alerts and Stroke Care. Monitoring all ED patients on the central monitor for cardiac, oxygen levels, blood pressure issues and notifying the provider or nurses when alarms are concerning. Run downtime tracking boards for bed management with our ED Charge RNs.
Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent; knowledge of medical terminology preferred. Prior US/Monitor Tech experience preferred. Strong multitasking skills and a calm demeanor under pressure.
