Registered Behavior Technician - Bear, DEA rewarding opportunity awaits for a dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to support elementary-aged students within an autism program. This contract position is located near Bear, DE, within a supportive educational setting that values collaboration and student growth. Full-time hours are required, with a consistent schedule and no part-time options or flexibility for arrival or departure times.
What You’ll Need:
  • Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Certification
  • Active Delaware PARA Permit
  • Experience supporting students in schools, especially at the elementary level
  • Confidence in implementing physical intervention strategies when necessary
  • Strong skills in collecting and reporting behavioral and instructional data in classroom environments
  • Willingness to participate in all aspects of student support, including toileting, diapering, and hygiene assistance
  • Ability to adapt to changing classroom assignments as needed
  • Commitment to working onsite for the entire scheduled day (8:45 AM - 4:15 PM EST)
  • Reliable transportation to and from the site
Your Responsibilities:
  • Deliver compassionate behavioral support to students with autism
  • Collect and document behavioral and instructional data daily
  • Implement intervention strategies as required
  • Collaborate closely with other educators, support staff, and administration
  • Provide essential assistance with personal care and hygiene routines
  • Adapt support based on evolving district needs and assignments
