About the role

Large Forklift Operator We are seeking an experienced Large Forklift Operator to move steel and other materials through an outdoor yard. This position is outdoors approximately 90% of the time and requires working safely in changing weather conditions. Pay and Schedule Starting pay: $18.00 per hour Pay increases to at least $19.00 per hour upon full-time hire, with the possibility of more based on performance Monday Friday, 6:00 a.m.3:30 p.m. Saturdays as needed, typically 6:00 a.m.9:00 a.m. or later Plenty of overtime available
Responsibilities: Operate a large-capacity forklift to move steel and other materials Load, unload, stage, and organize materials in the outdoor yard Measure materials accurately using a tape measure Inspect loads and equipment before moving materials Maintain an organized and safe work area Follow all company safety procedures Assist with other material-handling duties as needed
Qualifications: Previous experience of operating a large or heavy-capacity forklift Ability to read a tape measure accurately Comfortable working outdoors in hot, cold, rainy, or windy conditions Dependable and willing to work overtime and Saturdays when required Strong attention to safety and detail Ability to follow directions and work effectively with a team This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with long-term potential.
