About the Role: MAC Equipment Inc is looking for a skilled Small Engine Technician to join their team in Chapel Hill, TN! This is a great opportunity to turn your passion for engines and mechanical work into a rewarding career with a company that values hands-on expertise and quality craftsmanship.
Responsibilities: Diagnose, repair, and maintain small engines on outdoor power equipment such as mowers, chainsaws, trimmers, and generators Perform routine tune-ups, oil changes, and preventative maintenance services Inspect and test equipment to identify mechanical, electrical, and fuel system issues Order and replace defective parts, components, and assemblies Communicate repair status and recommendations clearly to customers Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in the shop Document service records and completed repair orders accurately
Requirements: Prior experience in small engine repair or a related mechanical field preferred Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing 2-cycle and 4-cycle engines Familiarity with brands such as Exmark, Hustler, Scag, Kawasaki, Briggs & Stratton, or Kohler is a plus Ability to use hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and shop machinery safely Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Excellent customer service and communication skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple repair jobs efficiently
