Slitter Helper / Set-Up Operator - 2nd ShiftBuild your manufacturing career in the steel-processing industry! Peoplelink Staffing Solutions is seeking a mechanically inclined and dependable Slitter Helper/Set-Up Operator. This hands-on role supports the Slitter Operator with equipment set-up, coil preparation, production, and quality inspections.
Pay: $18.00/hour Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 4:30 PM-3:00 AM Overtime: Fridays as needed What You'll DoAssist with setting up steel-slitting equipment Position, load, and securely prepare steel coils for processing Support the Slitter Operator during production runs Measure materials and verify specifications Monitor product quality and report potential issues Perform production and material-handling duties Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace Follow all safety and quality procedures Assist with additional production tasks as needed What We're Looking ForPrevious manufacturing experience is preferred Steel processing, coil handling, or slitting experience is a plus Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn Ability to lift 50-75 pounds Excellent attention to detail Dependable attendance and a strong work history Ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment Availability for Friday overtime when required Why You'll Want This Opportunity Competitive starting pay Four-day regular workweek Friday overtime opportunities Hands-on training in steel processing and slitting operations Opportunity to develop valuable manufacturing skills Long-term career and advancement potential If you're mechanically inclined, dependable, and ready to learn a skilled manufacturing operation, apply today!
