About the role

Director, Flagship Events & ExperiencesREMOTE ROLE - 40%-50% TRAVEL We're seeking a strategic, hands-on events leader to shape and deliver high-impact youth sports experiences. This person will lead the vision, planning, and execution of marquee events that create memorable moments for athletes, families, partners, and communities. This is an opportunity for a creative operator who can translate ambitious brand goals into exceptional live experiences-while bringing the structure, collaboration, and operational rigor needed to execute at scale. What You'll Lead • Develop the annual strategy, calendar, and investment priorities for a portfolio of major events and experiences. • Define success measures across participation, revenue, audience engagement, brand impact, and partner satisfaction. • Design end-to-end attendee experiences, from arrival and onsite activations through the final championship moment. • Lead cross-functional planning across marketing, operations, partnerships, venue teams, finance, sponsorships, and sales. • Build clear project plans, ownership structures, timelines, and decision-making cadences across concurrent initiatives. • Select and manage agencies, production partners, and vendors, including scopes of work, negotiations, budgets, and performance. • Direct onsite execution, oversee run-of-show planning, and make informed real-time decisions in a fast-moving environment. • Capture post-event insights and turn them into scalable playbooks that improve future events and seasons. What You'll Bring • 8+ years of experience in experiential marketing, event marketing, sports, entertainment, or large-scale live-event operations. • A successful record of taking complex, multi-stakeholder events from strategic concept through onsite delivery. • Experience managing agencies, vendors, production partners, contracts, and event budgets. • Strong cross-functional leadership skills and the ability to influence teams without direct reporting authority. • Excellent planning and communication skills, with comfort managing detailed timelines, staffing plans, and live-event logistics. • A systems-oriented approach to building repeatable processes rather than relying on one-off solutions. • Willingness to travel and support events onsite, including occasional weekends. • Experience in youth sports, tournament operations, or sports properties is a plus. Ideal profile: A collaborative leader who pairs big-picture creativity with meticulous execution-and who understands how meaningful live experiences can build lasting connection for participants and families.

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
