Forklift Operator - Material Handler The Forklift Operator / Material Handler operates forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, store, and issue materials in a production environment. This role ensures accurate inventory control, supports production and shipping activities, and maintains a clean, safe workspace while following established procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices. Responsibilities:
  • Operate forklifts and material handling equipment safely and efficiently
  • Load, unload, move, and stage materials throughout the facility
  • Supply production lines with materials and pull inventory for work orders
  • Assist with shipping, receiving, and inventory activities
  • Perform cycle counts and maintain accurate inventory records
  • Conduct daily forklift inspections and report any equipment concerns
  • Skills 6+ months of forklift experienceAbility to obtain forklift certification if not currently certified
  • Basic inventory, warehouse, or material handling experienceAbility to lift up to 35 lbs regularly
  • Comfortable standing, walking, bending, and working on your feet throughout the shift

  • Work Environment
This position is based in a manufacturing facility and involves operating forklifts, handling materials, and supporting production operations. The role requires frequent movement throughout the shift and a strong focus on safety and quality. Job Type & Location: This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lawrence, KS.
Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
