What you'll do: Functions as a Pre-certification Representative for ensuring that patients having pre-scheduled services are financially cleared before services are rendered. This is achieved primarily by completing insurance verification and pre-certification of a patient's insurance coverage. Completes insurance verification of patient's coverage by contacting the patient's insurance carrier via phone or computer system. The information obtained is documented in PFS computer systems and used for billing and collection purposes. Works with insurance carrier representatives and physicians to resolve pre-cert delays. What you'll need for this job:
Minimum Education
Required: High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum Experience
Required: 2 to 5 years experience in area of expertise such as scheduling, financial clearance, or patient access. National certification in HFMA CRCR or NAAM CHAA required within one (1) year of hire.
Compensation
Pay Range: $18.16-$28.14 per hour
Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
