Job Title: Senior Account Executive Specialty Ingredients
Location: United States Remote Opportunity with 20% travel
Industry: Food & Beverage IngredientsJBAndrews is currently partnering with a confidential, early-stage specialty ingredients business to identify an experienced Account Executive to support its next phase of commercial growth across the US market. This is a foundational sales opportunity for a commercially driven professional who enjoys building pipeline, developing new customer relationships and creating structure within a growing business. The successful candidate will focus on identifying and qualifying opportunities across food and beverage manufacturers, ingredient distributors, formulation partners, contract manufacturers and regional ingredient businesses.
Key Responsibilities: Build and manage a consistent pipeline of qualified new business opportunities across the US market Identify, research and target relevant food and beverage manufacturers, brands, distributors and formulation partners Manage outbound prospecting and respond effectively to inbound enquiries Qualify opportunities based on application fit, commercial potential, budget and timeline Maintain accurate CRM records, opportunity stages and pipeline reporting Work closely with the Head of Sales to progress qualified opportunities and develop account strategies Collaborate with the Applications team to understand customer requirements and support early-stage sampling Build relationships with commercial, technical, R&D and food science stakeholders Support the development of a structured and repeatable sales process as the business grows
Ideal Candidate Profile: 5–10 years’ experience in B2B or technical sales Experience within food ingredients, beverage ingredients, specialty ingredients or a related sector Experience selling to food and beverage manufacturers, brands, distributors or formulation partnersA background in food science, nutrition, business or another relevant technical or commercial discipline would be advantageous Proven experience generating new business through structured prospecting and consistent follow-up Comfortable engaging with technical, R&D, food science and commercial stakeholders Highly organised, with a disciplined approach to CRM management and pipeline reporting Proactive, self-directed and comfortable working within an early-stage business Willingness to take ownership of activity levels, pipeline generation and new account development This role will suit someone who is motivated by the opportunity to help build a commercial function, rather than simply manage an established customer base.
