Mechanical Assembler The Mechanical Assembler is responsible for the installation and assembly of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and structural components on production equipment. Working as part of a collaborative assembly team, this position ensures equipment is assembled accurately, safely, and efficiently to meet production schedules and quality standards. The Mechanical Assembler reports directly to the Assembly Lead and Plant Supervisor.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Read, interpret, and follow blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and written or verbal work instructions to accurately assemble equipment and products. Install and assemble mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and structural components according to design operate hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, forklifts, and overhead cranes. Adhere to all safety policies, procedures, and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) requirements during equipment assembly and in-process and final quality inspections to verify products meet established quality standards and, modify, or repair equipment as required to incorporate engineering changes or correct identified issues. Maintain tools, equipment, and workstations in good working condition. Identify and recommend opportunities for continuous improvement in assembly processes, efficiency, and product quality. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times. Collaborate effectively with team members, engineering, supply chain and supervisors to achieve production goals and timelines.
