ATC Locums is seeking experienced Trauma/Critical Care PAs or NPs for an urgent opportunity in Northern California. Join a Level II Trauma Center with a dedicated Trauma Service
Manage approximately
trauma patients daily
Primarily adult patients, with few to no pediatric cases
Work alongside one trauma surgeon on call
No surgical assisting responsibilities for this assignment
Daytime Trauma APP coverage provides additional team support
Potential to provide coverage across multiple dates in September and October Assignment Details
Practice Setting: Level II Trauma Center
Schedule: 3:00 p.m. 1:00 a.m. PM shifts
Coverage Dates: Sept. 4 6; Oct. 7; Oct. ; Oct. ; Oct. Patient Volume: Approximately patients on the Trauma Service per day
Call:
Support the trauma surgeon on call; monitor, manage, and discharge Trauma Service patientsEMR: Cerner Care BSupport Staff: Additional Trauma NP/PA covering 7:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m., plus Trauma Medical Director and Trauma Coordinator Credentialing: Estimated days once a complete application is received Clinical Scope Responsibilities include trauma evaluations, treatment planning, diagnostic orders, admissions, referrals, patient education, and ongoing management. Procedures may include laceration repair, wound debridement, I&D, fracture and dislocation reductions, central and arterial line placement, chest tube insertion/removal, cervical spine clearance, burn management, and foreign body removal.
Requirements:
PA or NP with Trauma/Critical Care experienceNCCPA or ANCC certification Active California licenseCA DEA; NP furnishing number as applicableACLS, ATLS, and BLSCurrent clinical practice at a TJC-accredited hospital Interested?
