Minimum Education/Experience - Current OCCC student enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours for the Fall or Spring semester or enrolled in a minimum of 3 credit hours for the Summer semester if they aren't enrolled in the following semester. OR Current OCCC student with a Federal Work Study award. Required
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
General knowledge of eSports, particularly competitive games such as League of Legends, Overwatch, Valorant, Rocket League, and Super Smash Bros. Basic knowledge of Discord. Familiar with various game launchers. Ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines. Good organizational skills. Exceptional attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work flexible hours. Social media experience and video editing software knowledge. Ability to be productive with minimal supervision.
Job Duties:
Clean equipment regularly by wiping down desks, keyboard, mice, and mousepads with disinfectant. Maintain PCs and check for updates, games that can be uninstalled, or anything else to help setups run more smoothly. Check-in students and check out equipment to students. Ensure students check out and keep count of equipment. Assist in any gameLab events. Work on cable management if needed. Document gaming activities and create mock social media products for review. Other duties as assigned.
Job Duties:
Abide by the policies and procedures published in the Board of Regents Policies and College Policies & Procedures. Contribute to a safe educational & working environment. Adhere to established safety and health procedures and practices for the purpose of providing injury and illness prevention for self and others. Complete quarterly health and safety training pursuant to OCCC's established safety and health procedures and practices. Participate in all applicable OCCC emergency, evacuation, shelter in place drills, and be prepared to take action and assist others in taking appropriate action should a health or safety emergency occur.
