About the role

A global insurance carrier is looking to hire an AVP, Claims Manager - Casualty. In this leadership role, you will be responsible for managing a team of 5-7 Senior Claims Professionals who are handling commercial general liability and excess casualty claims (including premise liability, product liability, commercial auto BI and other BI claims). Along with driving performance of the team, you will be a technical referral point for complex claims, coverage and litigation matters within casualty/excess casualty. Job Requirements.5+ years leadership experience within casualty /commercial general liability claims (including complex, large loss casualty cases above $1M in value) Experience with excess casualty claims highly preferred The ability to drive performance and grow a claims team, including managing Attorneys Extensive exposure to litigation and coverage investigation essential - including large loss CGL policies Experience working closely with Legal/ Claims Counsel and other internal / external teams This position must be on a hybrid schedule (3 days in office per week) from NYC, NJ, Chicago, Atlanta or Dallas with an excellent base salary up to $194,000 + 20% annual bonus. The role has an excellent route of progression to senior leadership (VP/SVP). Please note we cannot consider fully remote candidates for this position.
