Technical Product Owner | Data & Business Intelligence
About the Role: We are partnering with a leading U.S. law firm seeking a Technical Product Owner to support its data and business intelligence initiatives. Responsibilities: Own and prioritize technical product backlogs across data and BI initiatives. Break down complex initiatives into user stories, acceptance criteria, and actionable development tasks. Lead Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, standups, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives. Collaborate with data engineers, architects, BI teams, and business stakeholders to define requirements and solutions. Track sprint progress, resolve blockers, and communicate priorities, risks, and status updates to leadership. Use Jira to document requirements, manage backlogs, and monitor delivery. Translate business needs into technical requirements involving data pipelines, databases, integrations, reporting, and analytics.
Qualifications: Experience as a Technical Product Owner, Data Product Owner, Technical Business Analyst, or similar role. Proven experience managing technical backlogs, writing user stories, and defining acceptance criteria. Experience working directly with engineering teams in an Agile/Scrum environment. Working knowledge of databases, data pipelines, data ingestion, and system integrations. Experience with Jira or similar tools. Strong communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience supporting data engineering, BI, reporting, analytics, or data platform initiatives. Familiarity with Databricks, Snowflake, Azure, AWS, Power BI, Cognos, or data warehouse technologies. Understanding of ETL/ELT processes and enterprise data integrations.

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
