Our client, a leading healthcare and technology organization, is looking to hire a Healthcare Associate in Tempe, AZ.
Pay Rate Range: $18–$20/hour, depending on experience Responsibilities: Handle incoming and outgoing patient calls and messages related to insurance, billing, appointment scheduling, and fax management. Support patients with scheduling, billing questions, and navigating the healthcare system while providing compassionate and professional service. Manage medical records, prior authorizations, referrals, and care coordination with pharmacies, labs, specialists, and insurance providers. Follow HIPAA requirements to protect patient privacy and confidentiality in all interactions and communications. Work with providers and operations teams to complete urgent patient care tasks and escalate critical issues to the appropriate medical team when necessary. Communicate clearly and professionally with patients while calmly resolving questions and concerns. Use technology tools, including phone systems, Slack, G Suite, Zoom, and electronic medical record systems, to manage communications and daily tasks. Participate in team meetings and huddles, contribute to problem-solving efforts, and assist providers with urgent patient needs. Maintain accurate documentation and follow established procedures to support a positive patient experience.
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. At least 6 months of experience working in a contact center OR 1 year of experience in a patient-facing role. Proficient with basic computer skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proven problem-solving and multitasking abilities. Ability to work a flexible onsite schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Experience with de-escalation techniques is preferred. Experience using telephony systems such as NICE-InContact is a plus. Familiarity with G Suite and Electronic Health Record systems is a plus. Experience in healthcare areas such as patient scheduling, registration, medical records, insurance verification, or claims processing is preferred. 4-month contract opportunity. Full-time, hourly, in-person position based in Tempe, AZ.
