Growing together.This position is full-time (40 hours/week), Monday - Friday. Employees are required to work an 8-hour shift schedule during our normal business hours of 7:00am - 7:00pm CST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.We offer 2 weeks of paid training. The hours during training will be 8:30am - 5:00pm CST, Monday - Friday. Training will be conducted virtually from your home.Primary Responsibilities:Initiates prior authorizations for outpatient medication injectables so members can receive medication in a timely mannerTake calls from providers regarding chemotherapy and specialty medication injectables as well as verifying HIPAATake calls from providers and enter services that they are requesting into the systemMust have accurate documentation and meet weekly metricsOther duties as assignedYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:High School Diploma / GED OR equivalent work experienceMust be 18 years of age OR older1+ years of experience in health insurance OR medical billingExperience working with key performance indicators (average handle time, contacts per trans hour, quality, etc)1+ years of experience taking 40+ calls in a high-volume call center environmentExperience with computer and Windows PC applications, which includes the ability to navigate and learn new and complex computer system applicationsAbility to work Monday - Friday, in an 8-hour shift schedule during our normal business hours of 7:00am - 7:00pm CST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.Preferred Qualifications:1+ years of experience working with ICD 10, CPT & HCPS codesProfessional experience in a clerical OR administrative support related rolePharmacy experience including working knowledge of prescription drug namesExperience working with Microsoft Word (creating, editing, saving documents)Experience working with Microsoft Excel (creating, editing, saving spreadsheets)Knowledge of medical terminologyTelecommuting Requirements:Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy.Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service.*All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter Policy.Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
