About the role

Scheduling AssistantUnder the direction of the Scheduling Manager, facilitate the scheduling of meeting and event space reservations in the Cesar Chavez Student Center. Direct interaction with clients, guests, and other AS staff will be required.Job Description:Process and enter data of scheduled events into scheduling softwareAssist organizations in the reservation request processMaintain the reservation management software - Accruent EMS Scheduling SoftwarePerform general clerical duties including, but not limited to: typing, filing, answering phones, word processing, recording business transactions, and email correspondenceMaintain AS Master Event Calendar on websiteDirectly assist clients and guests of the Event Services department via in-person, telephone, email, or video conference serviceEnsure billing accuracy and review estimates with clients prior to final billingCompile reports and activity summaries for daily and weekly operations updatesCollaborate with internal and external contacts regarding work related itemsOther duties as assignedQualifications:Currently SF State students enrolled in a minimum of 6 semester units for undergraduates and 4 units for graduates.1 year customer service experience1 year office or clerical experienceExcellent written and verbal communication skills, including professional phone etiquette.Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office suite and Google suite, experience with event management software is recommended, but not requiredStrong organization and record keeping skillsStrong ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple tasksApplication Instructions: Please complete an application via our Application Portal.
