Senior Superintendent – Multifamily
Location:
Norwalk, CTA leading Construction Manager is seeking a Senior Superintendent to take the field lead on a major $100M+ multifamily adaptive-reuse project. This is an opportunity to lead a large, complex project from early construction through completion with an established Construction Manager.
Responsibilities:
Serve as the senior field leader responsible for day-to-day construction and overall site execution.
Manage all subcontractors, field personnel, logistics, sequencing, scheduling, safety, and quality control.
Lead the conversion of two existing eight-story structures into 286 multifamily residential units.
Coordinate extensive MEP upgrades, including new electrical, plumbing, HVAC and residential building systems.
Oversee apartment build-outs, common areas, amenity spaces, exterior improvements and site work.
Develop and maintain short-term schedules and drive subcontractors to meet overall project milestones.
Coordinate closely with Project Management, ownership, design teams, consultants and trade partners.
Conduct subcontractor coordination meetings and resolve field conflicts before they impact schedule.
Maintain a strong focus on safety, quality, productivity and project closeout.
Qualifications:
10+ years of commercial construction experience with a General Contractor or Construction Manager.
Prior experience as a Superintendent or Senior Superintendent leading large, complex projects.
Strong preference for multifamily, residential, adaptive reuse, renovation or conversion experience.
Experience managing projects in the $75M–$100M+ range strongly preferred.
Strong understanding of MEP coordination, interior build-outs, structural/existing-condition challenges and occupied or existing-building logistics.
Proven ability to manage multiple subcontractors and major scopes simultaneously.
Strong scheduling, communication, leadership and problem-solving skills.
Ability to take ownership of a project and drive it from the field through final completion.
