Position Overview:
This position provides anesthesia coverage across both hospital locations, working within a medically directed anesthesia care team model alongside anesthesiologists and CRNAs.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and implementation of anesthesia care plans
- Perform pre-anesthetic assessments and evaluations
- Administer and maintain anesthesia under the direction of an anesthesiologist
- Monitor patients throughout the intraoperative and postoperative periods
- Collaborate with anesthesiologists, CRNAs, surgeons, and perioperative staff to ensure high-quality patient care
- Participate in patient safety, quality improvement, and clinical excellence initiatives
- Provide anesthesia services across both hospital campuses as needed
- Community Hospital195-bed acute care hospital
- Advanced surgical services including orthopedics, spine, general surgery, gastroenterology, OB/GYN, and robotic-assisted procedures

- High-acuity case mix including cardiovascular, neuro, trauma, and comprehensive surgical services

Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Anesthesiologist Assistant program
- Current NCCAA certification required
- Eligible for Florida licensure
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Experience Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant required
- Recent experience must be in an acute care hospital setting
- Candidates with ambulatory surgery center (ASC)-only experience will not be considered
- Demonstrated experience managing a broad range of surgical cases and patient acuity levels
