Summary: THE SUPERVISOR CREDIT/COLLECTIONS IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE SUPERVISION OF STAFF WITHIN THE BUSINESS OFFICE ASSIGNED TO COLLECTION FOLLOW UP, CUSTOMER SERVICES REPRESENTATIVES, PATIENT FINANCIAL COUNSELING AND FRONT DESK CASHIER. OVERSEES THE PROCESS OF TRANSFERRING ACCOUNTS TO THIRD PARTY COLLECTION VENDORS AS WELL AS MAINTAINING THE ACCURACY OF DOLLARS CLAIMED FOR MEDICARE BAD DEBT, CHARITY CARE AND RECONCILLIATION OF COLLECTION VENDOR INVOICES. IS RESPONSIBLE FOR OVERSIGHT OF PENN HIGHLANDS DUBOIS CONTRACT ACCOUNTS AND HEALTHY BEGINNINGS PROGRAM.
Other information: QUALIFICATIONS: BACHELORS DEGREE IN BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION PREFERRED OR AN ASSOCIATES DEGREE IN BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION WITH 5 YEARS HOSPITAL COLLECTIONS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. MUST HAVE A MINIMUM OF 2 YEARS IN A SUPERVISORY OR OTHER LEADERSHIP ROLE IN WHICH THE INDIVIDUAL CAN DEMONSTRATE LEADERSHIP SKILLS. THOROUGH KNOWLEDGE OF 3RD PARTY PAYER HOSPITAL/PHYSICIAN RECEIVABLES MANAGEMENT, PREFFERABLY TO SELF-PAY COLLECTIONS AND BAD DEBT MANAGEMENT DETAIL ORIENTED, ORGANIZED, SELF MOTIVATED, COMPUTER SKILLS. KNOWLEDGE OF CPT-4, HCPCS, ICD 9 &10 CODING & BILLING PREFERRED
