About the role
- Coordinate international and domestic relocations, including visa and work permit applications, immigration compliance, and assignment documentation
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employees on international assignment, addressing questions about relocation policy, benefits, and logistics
- Partner with external immigration counsel, relocation vendors, and tax advisors to manage cases from initiation through completion
- Track assignment timelines, visa expirations, and renewal deadlines to ensure continuous compliance
- Administer relocation benefits (housing, shipping, schooling, tax equalization/protection) in line with company policy
- Maintain accurate records in the global mobility case management system and produce regular status reports for HR and business stakeholders
- Advise HR business partners and hiring managers on mobility policy, cost estimates, and feasibility for proposed international moves
- Stay current on changes to immigration law, tax treaties, and social security agreements in key countries of operation
- Support cost projections and budget tracking for assignments, including tax gross-up calculations
- Identify process improvements and contribute to updates of mobility policies and procedures
- Required Qualifications2–4 years of experience in global mobility, immigration, HR, or relocation services
- Working knowledge of visa/immigration processes and compliance requirements for at least one major region (e.g., US, EU, APAC)
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a service-oriented approach to supporting employees
- Experience working with third-party immigration law firms or relocation management companies (RMCs)
- Familiarity with tax equalization/protection concepts for international assignees
- Global Mobility certification (e.g., GMS from Worldwide ERC) is a plus
- Experience supporting assignments across multiple regions/time zones
