About the role
Our client is looking for a highly organized and detail-focused Real Estate Paralegal to assist attorneys with commercial real estate and lending matters from initial due diligence through closing and post-closing activities. The ideal candidate will help manage transaction documentation, coordinate closings, review title and survey materials, maintain timelines, and communicate with clients, lenders, and third parties throughout the transaction lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with commercial real estate and lending transactions from file opening through post-closing
Prepare, review, and organize closing documents, settlement statements, and transaction checklists
Coordinate closing schedules and provide support during closings
Draft and manage legal documents such as mortgages, promissory notes, guaranties, and UCC filings
Order and analyze title reports, surveys, zoning documents, and other due diligence materials
Support attorneys in addressing title, survey, and closing-related issues
Draft and review purchase and sale agreements, leases, easements, amendments, and related documents
Monitor transaction timelines and ensure all deadlines and requirements are met
Communicate with clients, lenders, brokers, title companies, and government agencies regarding transaction matters
Handle post-closing responsibilities including recordings, preparation of final binders, and document management
Perform basic financial calculations, including prorations and amortization schedules
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or Paralegal Certificate preferred
Minimum of 2 years of experience in real estate, commercial lending, or transactional paralegal work
Prior law firm experience preferred, but not required
Knowledge of commercial real estate transactions and closing procedures
Commercial lending experience is a plus
Strong organizational, multitasking, and time-management abilities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal document management software
