About the role
- Write statistical computer programs
- Review computer output for consistency and quality
- Analyze data and prepare tables for interim and final reports
- Design tables and statistical procedures for specific research studies
- Write results sections of reports and publications
- Develop statistical designs and planned analyses for research grant proposals
- Develop and implement new innovative procedures in the areas of data collection, quality control, presentation of results, and statistical analyses
- Lead biostatistical collaborations with clinical research teams
- In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned
- Minimum Qualifications for Biostatistician:
- Programming experience in R, SAS/Stata, and REDCapExperience with Snowflake, OMOP, Claims data, Python, LaTeX and/or Markdown
- Physical Demands
- This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require walking some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
- Salary will be commensurate with education and experience.

- This is a restricted position, which is dependent on funding and is contingent upon funding availability.
- This position is based in Charlottesville, VA, and must be performed fully on-site for the first 6 months, after which the position is eligible for a hybrid schedule, in accordance with UVA's remote work guidelines.
