Regional Head of Financial Institution Sales – US & LATAM
Location:
Miami preferred; candidates based in Texas will also be considered Mason Alexander are partnering with an international financial services and payments business that is building a new global institutional sales function. The business is seeking a senior commercial leader to build its Financial Institution sales and strategic partnership presence across the United States, with a particular opportunity around US-LATAM payment corridors. Reporting directly to the CEO, this is a highly autonomous and hands-on position. The successful candidate will bring an established network and a proven ability to originate, structure and close major partnerships across banking, payments, fintech, treasury services and cross-border payments. This is not a high-volume sales-management or lead-generation role. The focus will be on securing a small number of significant, long-term partnerships capable of generating meaningful payment volume and revenue.
Key responsibilities:
Own the full commercial lifecycle, from relationship origination through negotiation, implementation and revenue generation Establish and develop the organisation’s institutional presence across the US and relevant LATAM corridors Build senior relationships across banks, payment processors, fintechs, neobanks, FX providers and treasury-services businesses Present cross-border payments, FX and payment infrastructure solutions to C-suite stakeholders Lead complex commercial negotiations and develop tailored partnership structures Work with Product, Risk, Compliance and Finance to bring commercially and regulatorily sound solutions to market Take ownership of regional revenue, payment-volume and partnership-development targets Identify opportunities involving digital asset or stablecoin-enabled payment infrastructure where relevant The successful candidate will likely have: Significant senior-level experience in Financial Institution sales, payments, fintech, banking, treasury services or strategic partnershipsA strong and demonstrable network across the US banking, payments or fintech marketA track record of personally originating and closing large, complex, revenue-generating partnerships Strong understanding of cross-border payments, FX, treasury services or payment infrastructure The ability to operate independently and establish a regional commercial presence Spanish-language capability and an established LATAM network would be highly advantageous Exposure to stablecoins or digital assets would be beneficial but is not essential This is initially a senior individual-contributor position, offering significant autonomy and direct exposure to the CEO.
