About the role
- Manage the full parts sales process, from initial customer inquiry through order fulfillment and invoicing
- Assist customers and service staff in identifying and sourcing the correct automotive parts
- Use parts catalogs, computer systems, and other resources to accurately identify and locate parts
- Coordinate with the Parts Manager to locate and procure out-of-stock items
- Process and track special orders, ensuring timely follow-up and delivery
- Communicate proactively with customers regarding order status and parts arrival
- Support inventory organization, stocking, and general warehouse duties as needed
- Maintain accurate parts records and organized inventory
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Collaborate with the Parts and Service teams to ensure efficient department operations
- Adhere to all company policies, safety standards, and applicable regulations
- Qualifications & Experience2–3 years of previous automotive parts counter or dealership parts experience required
- Strong working knowledge of automotive parts and parts identification
- Experience working directly with customers and/or automotive service technicians
- Ability to accurately identify, locate, order, and sell automotive parts
- Strong commitment to customer service and customer satisfaction
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced dealership environment
- Professional demeanor, dependable work ethic, and strong attention to detail
- Basic computer proficiency required; experience with dealership or parts-management systems is a plus
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

- Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to lift 30+ pounds regularly
- Comfortable using material-handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks
- Ability to stand, bend, stoop, kneel, and reach throughout the workday
