About the role
A leading energy industry organization is seeking an Operations Coordinator to support their annual global energy conference in Houston, Texas. This rmeote temp role involves managing event logistics, coordinating participant engagement, and ensuring seamless execution for the NextGen initiative. Operations Coordinator Responsibilities:
Assisting in planning, communication, and execution of NextGen initiatives for CERAWeek.
Managing all activities related to the NextGen cohort, including participant selection and onsite engagement.
Overseeing event details such as meeting spaces, catering, and inventory to ensure smooth operations.
Supporting registration processes tailored specifically for NextGen participants.
Providing flexible support for additional event tasks or activities as needed.
Operations Coordinator Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or 2–5 years of event planning experience, preferably in academic settings.
Proven ability to handle multiple projects with precise deadlines and within budget constraints.
Strong relationship-building skills at all levels, particularly with academic communities.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, with experience engaging academic audiences.
Proficiency with virtual event platforms, Microsoft Office, and cloud-based event management tools such as Airtable, Monday.com, or RainFocus.
