Job Description
Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Facilities Painter to maintain and improve the appearance of commercial and industrial facilities. This role is responsible for preparing surfaces, applying paint and coatings, performing minor wall repairs, and ensuring all work is completed safely and professionally.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, patching, and priming walls, ceilings, doors, and other building surfaces. Apply paint, stains, varnishes, and protective coatings using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment. Repair drywall damage, cracks, holes, and other surface imperfections prior to painting. Perform touch-up painting and routine maintenance throughout the facility. Protect furniture, flooring, and equipment from paint and debris during projects. Mix and match paint colors as needed to meet facility standards. Maintain painting tools, equipment, and inventory of supplies. Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of ladders, lifts, and personal protective equipment (PPE).Collaborate with maintenance and facilities teams to support building improvement projects. Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Qualifications:
2+ years of commercial, industrial, or facilities painting experience preferred. Knowledge of surface preparation, paint application techniques, and finishing methods. Experience with drywall repair and patching. Ability to safely operate ladders, scaffolding, and aerial lifts. Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various indoor and outdoor environments. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Preferred Skills:
Commercial building maintenance experience. Knowledge of safety regulations and OSHA standards. Basic maintenance or handyman skills.
