About the role
Overview
In this role you will lead end-to-end pursuit and proposal management at Swinerton, shaping strategy, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring brand-consistent, compliant proposals. You will drive development of compelling content and coordinate client interviews to articulate value. You will mentor junior staff and optimize CRM data to support pursuit decisions. This position places you at the intersection of strategy, storytelling, and client engagement, with opportunities to influence high-impact projects including complex delivery methods.

Responsibilities Shape proposal and pursuit strategy; analyze regional market dynamics and competitor trends to guide decisions Lead proposal development lifecycle; set timelines, ensure on-time delivery, and coordinate cross-functional inputs Lead pursuit meetings with Pursuit Champion; align technical teams, PMs, and leadership on strategy and content Coordinate gathering of cross-functional requirements (risk, legal, compliance) using centralized assets Draft and edit proposal content; ensure clarity, consistency, and compliance with client needs and brand voice Utilize branded templates to produce visually compelling documents and proposal graphics Oversee production of final proposal documents and distribution logistics Manage client interviews/presentations; coach teams and ensure alignment on key messages Develop marketing collateral (brochures, pitches, case studies) and ensure brand consistency Maintain data in CRM/DAM platforms; conduct data audits and generate insights for go/no-go decisions Foster internal collaboration and relationships across teams and stakeholders Conduct post-mortem reviews and implement improvements for future pursuits Provide mentorship and leadership to Marketing Pursuits Associates or Specialists Drive post-presentation follow-up and additional information requests Maintain content close-out and enable accessible, accurate pursuit assets
Key requirements Bachelor degree in marketing, communications, English, business writing, journalism, or related field (minimum)5–10 years of relevant experience in pursuit/proposal management or marketing Proven project management ability; multi-project prioritization and deadline management Excellent writing and editing skills; strong grammar, tone, and storytelling Branding knowledge; ability to maintain brand consistency across materials Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign) and Microsoft Office (Power Point)Strong interpersonal and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration Experience with CRM systems; familiarity with Unanet CRM is a plusAEC industry familiarity or experience is highly beneficial Travel ability as required Strong problem-solving and adaptability in fast-paced environments Ability to lead, coach, and develop junior marketing staff Collaborative mindset Strategic thinking Attention to detail Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign)Microsoft Power Point Unanet CRM
