About the Role:
As a Tooling Support Technician, you will play a vital role in our metal stamping operations by ensuring that our production dies and fixtures are maintained to the highest standards. You will work closely with skilled toolmakers to optimize equipment performance, directly contributing to the efficiency and quality of our manufacturing output.
Responsibilities:
Support the assembly, maintenance, and repair of complex stamping dies and precision tooling components.
Execute die changeovers and prepare essential tooling to minimize production downtime.
Perform critical finishing tasks including grinding, deburring, and polishing to ensure component accuracy.
Utilize precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers to verify tooling specifications.
Maintain a highly organized and safe tool room environment to facilitate seamless workflow.
Manage inventory of spare parts and shop supplies to ensure constant availability of necessary materials.
Collaborate with the maintenance and production teams to troubleshoot equipment issues and improve operational reliability.
Required Skills:
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Strong mechanical aptitude and a proactive approach to learning technical processes.
Proven ability to safely operate basic hand tools and shop equipment.
Demonstrated attention to detail with the ability to interpret technical measurements.
Reliable work ethic and the ability to function effectively within a fast-paced team.
Preferred Skills:
Prior experience in a machine shop, metal stamping, or industrial tool room environment.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical blueprints or technical drawings.
Hands-on experience with shop machinery such as drill presses, lathes, or mills.
Vocational training or certification in machining, manufacturing, or industrial maintenance.
Bilingual communication skills are considered a significant asset.
