Join our client, an established community bank in Fairfield County, as a Mortgage Loan Processor. This role is ideal for a detail oriented lending professional who thrives in a fast paced environment and enjoys supporting the residential mortgage process from disclosure through closing. Working closely with lending, underwriting, compliance, and closing partners, you will play an important role in delivering a high level of service to customers and ensuring loans move efficiently through the pipeline.
What You'll Do: • Disclose new residential mortgage loan transactions• Order, track, and manage third party reports• Process third party verifications and documentation• Follow up on outstanding loan conditions• Assist with the preparation of residential mortgage closing packages• Serve as a liaison between Mortgage Underwriters and Loan Originators• Communicate outstanding conditions to Loan Originators• Coordinate with closing attorneys on closing preparations• Collect and maintain required HMDA data• Prepare HMDA packages for the Compliance Department• Track receipt of third party payments from borrowers• Coordinate remittance of payments to vendors• Contact existing consumer and mortgage loan customers regarding payment disputes or delinquencies• Work collaboratively with residential lending, underwriting, and compliance teams to support residential loan activities What You'll Bring• Experience in residential lending• Experience disclosing loan applications and reviewing loan files during processing• Ability to provide superior customer service and respond to requests in a timely manner• Strong ability to work in a fast paced environment• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel• Ability to learn and utilize additional banking systems and programs• Excellent written and verbal communication skills• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy• High level of integrity and ethical conduct• Commitment to following policies and procedures• Ongoing support of organizational goals and values• Minimum of three years of banking or related experience preferred This is an on-site role in Cos Cob, CT. The salary range for this role is $60,000 - $70,000.
