Williams International has an exciting opportunity for an Inspector to join our growing team. The Inspector will perform first piece, tool proof, receiving and final inspection. This opening is for afternoons 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM.Additionally, the Inspector will: Perform inspections for first article and production readiness Manufacture and/or tests parts according to engineering and customer standards and specifications Maintain accurate and reliable documentation Conduct inspection and/or testing related activities to ensure that parts are manufactured in accordance with manufacturing standards and blueprint specifications Visually inspects parts to ensure they are free of burrs or damaged surfaces Light programming and/or create program edits for CMM equipment Ensure the continuous flow of materials and parts through the Cell Maintain proper identification of parts per planning specifications and ensure that accurate and reliable records and documentation are maintained. Adhere to all safety standards and regulations Strive to accomplish team goals and enhance the quality of machined parts through the reduction of scrap and improvement of throughput. Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED2-3 years' experience working with one or more of the following inspection methods: First Article, receiving, final inspection, layout inspection, etc. Experience with CMM systems and have familiarity with open DMIS language is a plus Knowledge of GD&T and blueprint reading is required. Physical lifting requirements include; ability to lift 50 pounds (4 inches to 25 inches), capable of pushing or pulling a weight of 60 pounds, a grip strength of at least 50 pounds, and be able to reach above the shoulder (65 inches).U.S. Citizenship status required. Position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance, if needed.
