This senior-level role blends strategic planning with hands-on content creation and stakeholder engagement.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute comprehensive outreach strategies and promotional campaigns across multiple audiences and channels Lead marketing efforts to grow magazine subscriptions and digital readership, including quarterly promotions and author feature coordination Create written and visual content for social media, web pages, and electronic newsletters Conduct market research and reader surveys to refine outreach strategies and measure campaign effectiveness using analytics Provide staffing and marketing support for tradeshows, conferences, and outreach events Translate complex technical and policy information into compelling narratives for technical and general audiences Support internal communications and employee engagement initiatives Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field 6-10 years of progressively responsible experience in strategic communications, digital marketing, and public affairs Demonstrated track record developing social media campaigns that measurably grow subscriptions or readership Federal environment experience and familiarity with transportation research (highway/surface transportation) preferred Ability to obtain a USDOT Personal Identity Verification (PIV) credential
