They are responsible for the continual assessment of project processes to ensure the team is operating at the highest level of speed and quality to meet client expectations. The Project Lead demonstrates a commitment to the PD core values.Essential Duties/ResponsibilitiesEnsures and enforces safety requirements and documentation.Responsible for layout and organization of physical workstations to maximize workflow and fluid productionTroubleshoots missing parts, conflicting information, etc.Trains new employees and coaches existing employees on proper procedures and proper use of equipmentResponsible for the upkeep, accuracy and communication of the program work schedule with building managerAccountable for fluid productivity throughout the assembly and packaging processBe a change agent for driving out waste throughout the assemblies and packaging processLeads the team while reinforcing productivity and quality driven objectivesDrives a continuous improvement culture by involving employees in problem solving and decision makingEnsures equipment is maintained, while maximizing equipment's efficiencyResponsible for production numbers and quality auditingWill be required to participate with daily production as workloads dictatePerforms other duties as assignedFosters a culture that values family, innovation, collaboration and empowermentFollows all safety and workplace policiesCompetencies and SkillsExcellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skillsExcellent coaching, facilitating and flexibilityAbility to lead a cross-functional team and complete projectsStrong decision-making, problem solving and time management skillsAbility to set priorities, delegate work and coordinate work effortsAbility to demonstrate and apply our workplace valuesFlexibility to travel between multiple PD locationsDemonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working environmentEducation/CertificationHigh School Diploma or GED.Prefer 2 year technical/business degree or equivalentExperience1-3 years lead experience in assembly, packaging or manufacturing environmentExperience providing daily work direction to hourly/shift workersExperience using Microsoft Office ProductsForklift certified, or ability to obtain forklift operating certificatePhysical Requirements and Working ConditionsWalking, sitting, bending, twisting, reaching, pushing, pulling and lifting may be required throughout the workdayMust be able to wear required Personal Protective equipment (PPE) for extended periods of timeFlexibility to travel between multiple PD locations
