About the role

HVAC Shop/Warehouse Associate Skradski Heating & Cooling is seeking a full-time position for a Shop/Warehouse Associate with extensive knowledge in the HVAC industry. This is a hybrid position that includes assisting in the shop and assisting with the company receiving and staging of equipment. In this position, you will be responsible for keeping inventory and managing all material handling and receiving. Other tasks will include operating a computer numeric controlled (CNC) plasma machine, hydraulic metal cutting shear, break, and computer entry and job costing. Duties also include managing shop labor, inventory control, welding duties, and quality control. This position manages and coordinates all activities related to the fabrication of duct work, HVAC layout and flashing fabrication. The candidate oversees daily operations making sure production timelines are met. This position is multifaceted, and the skill sets you need include technical know-how, leadership, and interpersonal intelligence. You must make sure the work is carried out correctly, on time and in a safe manner.
QUALIFICATIONS: FOR THIS POSITION:5+ Years of experience in HVAC ductwork and layout Experience operating a computer numeric controlled (CNC) plasma machine Licensed Journeyman Duct and flashing fabrication High attention to detail and quality Be at least 18 years of age Have high school diploma or GED, continuing education in the HVAC field Experience in residential and/or commercial HVAC installations a plus Must be punctual and have a good work ethic Must possess good customer service and communication skills Must believe in and display, honesty and integrity, and a moral values system Must be willing to pursue and actually participate in continuing education Must possess a current valid driver’s license and have no DUI/DWI’s within the past 5 years Must be able to pass a background check and a drug screening Must be a team player and not be afraid of work!
RESPONSIBILITIES: Build and design ductwork for residential, commercial and new construction jobs. Mange inventory and cleanliness of shop & materials. Maintain sheet metal fabrication equipment. Assist internally/externally with over-the-counter sales. Estimation of duct work jobs. (Over the counter, residential, commercial, new construction jobs).Work with office staff on purchasing, staging, and organizing of equipment & parts for installation. Working with installation department to coordinate jobs, add-ons and change orders for daily jobs. Organizing, ordering, and working with vendors to keep inventory up to date while managing cost and stock quantities.
