About the role
- 3+ years of relevant network/telecommunications experience
- Experience supporting network operations or technical service management
- Experience troubleshooting TDM and/or SIP/IP-based voice networks
- Strong network troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Experience managing technical incidents and customer escalations
- Ability to document and track service issues through resolution
- Strong customer-facing communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, NOC-style environment
- Ability to participate in a rotating after-hours/on-call schedule
- Flexibility to support occasional weekends and holidays when required
- Associate's degree or equivalent relevant experience
- Direct 911 / E911 / NG911 network experience
- Understanding of 911 architecture and PSAP environments
- Strong knowledge of TDM, SIP, IP and wireless technologies911 network and/or CPE experience911 switching and translations experience
- Public Safety or Emergency Services experience
- Managed WAN network architecture experience
- Project/Program Management experience
- Telecommunications degree
- Experience working directly with Public Safety customers

- Monitor, analyze and resolve issues affecting 911 service delivery
- Support TDM and SIP-based networks used for 911 services
- Coordinate planned network work with authorized Public Safety personnel
- Serve as a technical point of contact for NYC Public Safety customers
- Manage and communicate customer escalations through resolution
- Document and track service issues internally and externally
- Support network evolution projects related to E911/NG911Review disaster recovery plans and network reliability with customers
- Provide regular technical and service updates
- Participate in customer service meetings
- Perform annual attestation of customer 911 circuits
- Work with internal engineering teams, vendors and external organizations to maintain service quality
